I was pretty sure I was not going to like this roast but boy was I wrong. Dark does not mean bitter. This roast has a bold but pleasant taste. It’s a bit like a good quality black coffee but still with hints of chocolate. I’m going to to have to order more of this one.

The order arrived quickly. I have brewed it in both the coffee maker and the french press. I like the French press better but both are a nice alternative to coffee. The smell is very nice and the taste is bitter but is pleasant to me.
My go to every morning is this stuff. I ditched the coffee.
To me, it has a “burnt” taste, but I suppose that’s because it’s a Spanish roast, so deeper roast flavor. If I mix it with another flavor, then I can tolerate it. For those that like dark roast coffee, you’ll probably love this one. Get the small sample bag to try first .
