Crio Bru® Brewed Cacao brews like coffee. You can brew our 100% pure ground cacao with a French press, coffee machine (no paper filters), pour over, percolator, stove-top espresso, aero press etc. Espresso machines and Keurigs would be the only equipment we don’t recommend (though some still do and love it). WHAT TO ADD
Our product is 100% pure unsweetened brewed cacao. While some of course enjoy drinking their brewed cacao “black,” we find many of our customers enjoying adding their favorite creamer/and or sweetener. Others also enjoy adding spices, MCT oil, cacao butter, cacao chocolate chips, etc. Of course, many also love to mix our 100% pure ground cacao with their coffee grounds and brew a delicious mocha. There’s so many different ways to make your perfect cup for every mood- so have fun and experiment.

COMMON MISTAKES
Sometimes we find that customers didn't prepare their batch quite the right way and their cup of brewed cacao was either too watery or bitter. For a stronger brew, double the amount of grounds and steep longer and hotter in a French Press or slow down the coffee maker with the bold setting and/or 1-4 cup setting. If the taste seemed a little bitter, keep in mind our product is pure unsweetened cacao. We find lots of our customers enjoy their cup more when they add their favorite creamer and/or sweetener.
