I've had several days to try Criu Bru, and I've got to say I REALLY love the flavor, the focus it brings, and the lack of 'caffeine jitters'. I'll continue to try the sampler and hopefully be ordering more of which ever flavor I like best! It won't be the light roast, I like my morning brew stronger. That's the only downside of any part of the sampler. The medium and dark roasts are fantastic!
I tried the sampler bc I just wanted something other than water, coffee or tea. I love hot chocolate but the calories add up. While I enjoyed this I do agree with many others it takes several heaping spoonfuls to really taste it. I added the oat creamer to make it well, creamier. By then it was ice cold due to the length of brewing time, pressing, etc. So I had to microwave it. I like it as an alternative, healthier beverage but it can get costly. And what do you do with the grounds????? House does smell great for awhile, like chocolate. Worth a try.
Seems a little much to have to use the entire package to have it taste right. I tried a couple of tea spoons like I would coffee in a French press , super weak. If it takes that much, you would need to buy large amounts to make it last.
It's a good product, never used a French Press before, fairly simple. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is it takes an awful lot of product compared to tea or coffee, to make a cup of this. And it is not cheap product, nothing good ever is, but there is a limit to what I'll pay for a beverage.
