The cocoa brew is delicious and I love the French press because it’s plastic. I’ve broken more than one glass French press. This was a good way to try the products.

Failing to appreciate brewed cacao

The products themselves arrived fine and in good condition. But I'm having a hard time appreciating the product. It tastes like super water hot cocoa, and when I try to brew it stronger, it's incredibly bitter. It makes me feel very bloated.

Also, it has quite a lot of calories, so it's not really a good replacement for coffee or tea. I find it hard to incorporate it in my life.

Further, I cannot understand how customer service had no idea what the measurements in weight and volume were for their brewing recommendations. I wrote to them when I first received my starter set, and they reiterated the tbsp/cup instructions that they have on the website. While I understand that you customize it based on what you prefer, I think that there should've been a recommendation based on weight of grounds and volume of water to start with. They keep saying that you "brew it like coffee," but everyone who's serious about brewing coffee knows how many grams of grounds and water to use.

Cocoa!

I love it! I quit eating sugar, but really missed chocolate. This satisfies my craving without adding sugar to my diet.

Worth the Cost

At this time I am not sure I want to swap my coffee for roasted cacao. But I am enjoying the experience, and can always use the French press for coffee if I choose.
