Fresco de Cacao
I didn’t prepare Crío Bru as a cacao brew—instead, I used it to recreate a beloved Nicaraguan tradition: a rich blend of cacao, rice, cinnamon, spices, and just a touch of sweetness. Every Nicaraguan grows up with this drink, and Crío Bru captured the deep, authentic cacao flavor perfectly. It was absolutely delicious and brought me right back home. Now I’m convinced Crío Bru was made for more than brewing!
On the left, the traditional Nicaraguan drink made with cacao beans. On the right , my version with Crío Bru—rich cacao, rice, cinnamon, spices, and a touch of sweetness. Both are delicious, but Crío Bru makes it so much easier while keeping the authentic flavor.

Crio-latte!
We love the double chocolate Crio Brew! We have it in the morning with some vanilla protein powder, a little milk and vanilla blended. It is delicious!! Chocolate lovers will love this blend because the chocolate flavor really comes through in this roast.
