Ghana Cacao Bean Origin

  • Volta River, Ghana. Winding throughout the country, the Volta River gives shape to the lovely landscape of Ghana. The surrounding agricultural area is dotted with small, family-owned farms that produce the very best African cacao for Crio Bru. The dark, earthy-toned beans are carefully selected to enhance the full-bodied chocolate flavor, with hints of coconut and cinnamon.

  • The coca river winds through a rainforest paradise in southern Ecuador until it feeds into the expansive Amazon river. Nearby, a village called Vilcabamba is famous for the longevity of its people, many living more than a century. IT'S NOT COFFEE | IT'S CACAO: Roasted, ground, and brewed like coffee, Crio Bru Brewed Cacao has flavor and aroma of unsweetened pure dark chocolate. Instead of coffee bean grounds, it's 100% pure ground cacao.

What DOES CRIO BRU BREWED CACAO TASTE LIKE?

Crio Bru Brewed Cacao has the flavor of 100% pure unsweetened pure dark chocolate. While similar in some respects to coffee, most characterize the taste experience as wonderfully distinctive.

HOW DO I MAKE/BREW CRIO BRU BREWED CACAO

Crio Bru Brewed Cacao is made any way that traditional coffee is brewed. You can brew it in a French Press, coffee machine (gold tone or mesh filter- no paper filters), pour over, etc. Keurig and Espresso machines are among the few options we don't recommend using.

You can also mix our grounds with your coffee grounds before brewing and make a delicious mocha. If desired you can also add your favorite creamer or sweetener. See our brewing guide for more information.

is there any caffeine in Crio Bru Brewed Cacao?

Crio Bru Brewed Cacao is 99.99% caffeine free with 10 mg caffeine per 8 oz cup (similar to a cup of decaf coffee). Brewed Cacao also has theobromine, a naturally occurring stimulant found in cacao that can be longer lasting, milder, and more pleasant than caffeine.

Per 8 oz Cup: Calories 20g; Sugars 0g; Net Carbs 1g; Fiber 2g; Fat 0g; Protein 2g; Sodium 2g; Cholesterol 0g

Ingredients: 100% Pure Ground Cacao Beans (Cocoa Beans).

Some of products such as Caramel Flavored Light Roast have natural flavored oils but do not impact the nutrition panel.

Crio Bru Brewed Cacao is 100% pure unsweetened ground cacao that is brewed like coffee. Hot chocolate is cocoa powder (a processed component of cacao) that dissolves into hot water that also has sugar, milk powder, and additives.

A Chocolate Revelation!

I love Crio Bru Double Chocolate - Light Roast so much, I've been raving to all of my friends, and even bought it again, to give to my good friend, with a little french press, for her birthday! She doesn't like coffee, but drinks tea, and loves hot chocolate, but like me, feels like it's only a treat, due to how many other things come in it we shouldn't be drinking! She went right home to try it and totally agrees—Crio Bru is the solution! A revelation!

Heaven in a cup

I love my cacao. I’ve been telling my friend who does my nails about Crio Bru. I usually bring over priced coffee to the salon. This time I brewed up a a batch in my French press (Double Chocolate) with the oat milk creamer. Took a couple to go cups…I swear her eyes rolled back when she tasted it! She ordered it that night! BTW. I swear this has helped with inflammation. All I know is my favorite jeans fit perfectly now! I’m a Crio bru customer for life

So Delicious!

I love the double chocolate flavor, it's truly my favorite of all I've tried of the Crio Bru. I think it resembles a nice cup of cocoa without the sugar. It's a great alternative if you're trying to watch your intake of carbs and sugars but still crave that chocolate flavor.
