Best flavor - doesn't taste like powdered hot chocolate mix, fights hunger, heart and blood sugar healthy
I brew this half strength and add between a teaspoon and a tablespoon of cayenne flakes and cinnamon to each 32oz pot depending on my mood. I drink between one and two pots per day, which is about 4 to 8 tablespoons of the dried Maya blend, plus the added spices. I think the Maya by itself is great for those who don't want a lot of cayenne or cinnamon, but i find the flavor of the spices very light and prefer to boost it up a good bit for flavor as well as the health benefits of the cayenne and cinnamon (heart health and blood sugar control). My brew of this is amazing for preventing the feeling of hunger during intermittent fasting, and helps me get through the day. I do add a tablespoon of half and half to each mug which mellows the flavor and buffers any acidity, as well as emulsifying the cocoa butter in the cacao and keeping it from seeming oily. It comes across to me like the flavor of a delicious spicy milk chocolate bar. I am not a fan of the dark roast cacao varieties which just taste burned to me, or the double chocolate, which tastes like garden variety powdered hot cocoa mix with very little cocoa butter (Swiss Miss, I am looking at you) , which doesn't have the depth of flavor of chocolate with cocoa butter.
