Very smooth and creamy taste.
I have cancer and continue to have nausea, sometimes from flavor. A powerful pungent or "roasty" flavor can upset my digestion. I had to give up coffee, and I switched to Crio Bru for a few reasons: the company uses only natural in gredients. The company does not use sugar. But because I've been through a lot of chemo, my taste buds aren't like everybody else's taste buds. I wanted to try the Irish Cream variety on the hope that it would be stronger in flavor but with a mild flavor: that is, something I could taste and enjoy but not too overwhelmingly pungent, roasty, or chocolatey (like the Double Chocolate, which I love but right now cannot drink). Irish Cream really achieved high marks on both counts. You do get a nice chocolate flavor, but it is mild. There is a smooth creaminess to the flavor that I like. I'm not pickimg up any whiskey notes, but I still really like this comforting beverage, especially first thing in the morning. I put eight tablespoons (5 of Ecuador Light Roast and 3 of Irish Cream) in a 9-cup stainless steel moka pot, and that gives me about a tall cup and a half. That's a lot of Crio Bru to use, but the higher pressure steam of the Moka pot gives the flavor a lot more snap. I would describe the flavor as "bright" but also "relaxing." If you really want a smooth cup, I think you will like this. You may enjoy it prepared with 6 Tblspns in a French Press, and let it steep overnight, stirring it several times before you go to bed.
