I enjoy the smooth taste of Venezuela Medium Roast. I only need to add a scant teaspoon of organic maple syrup and it truly is the nectar of the gods.

Seems like the perfect roast to me, dark roast is too bitter, French roast tastes like it’s burnt and light roast lacks flavor imho. If you are new to Ca Cao, it’s very important to add sweetener and possibly cream to your brew since Ca Cao can be VERY bitter without.

I have to say I wasn't hopeful that I would like this variety when I opened the bag. It had an almost burnt smell to the grind. However, once it was brewed, it made a very full bodied and thick brew. We have a local coffee roaster here and some days the smell of that roasting coffee that gets vented out turns to a sort of burnt smell that is off-putting. That's what I smelled when I opened the bag. Probably just me.
I bought 2 of these as gifts for family. Just smelling the bag puts me over the moon. I am a customer for life. I am addicted!
