MAYA LIGHT ROAST: Rich & Floral Flavor WITH CAYENNE PEPPER & CINNAMON

Drink cacao like the ancient Mayan kings did from their golden cups with dash of cayenne and cinnamon added to this light roast rich and floral natural chocolate flavor.

Brews Like Coffee, Tastes Like Heaven

Crio Bru is roasted, ground, and brewed just like coffee, but has the amazing flavor and aroma of pure dark chocolate.  Brew our 100% pure ground cacao in your French press or coffee maker, and your kitchen will have the aroma of pure dark chocolate heaven in no time.

Honest Energy™

Brewed cacao contains theobromine, a naturally occurring stimulant found in cacao that can be more pleasant than caffeine. Unlike caffeine – which is harsh with a spike and following crash – theobromine works with your body, not against it, giving you a mild, long-lasting lift without making you feel nervous or jittery.

Superfood Packed with Nutrients

Enjoy the benefits of one of nature’s most amazing superfoods. Cacao is loaded with nutrients that can lower your acidity intake, boost your immune system, help you lose weight, and best of all help you feel great, increase focus, reduce stress, and sleep better.

100% Pure Ground Cacao

Cacao Bean Origin - Coca River, Ecuador.

The coca river winds through a rainforest paradise in southern Ecuador until it feeds into the expansive Amazon river. Nearby, a village called Vilcabamba is famous for the longevity of its people, many living more than a century. Grown in the black soil of this rainforest valley, the Ecuadorian cacao bean produces the boldest and chocolatiest Crio Bru, with notes of green banana and blackberries.

Ingredients: Organic Cacao Beans (Cocoa Beans), Organic Cinnamon, Organic Cayenne, and Organic Natural Vanilla Oil.

    Nice balance

Definitely plenty of cinnamon here with a limited amount of pepper. I didn't expect I'd like it much but the flavors come together well.

    Not as good.

It’s very spicy compared to the other light roast we had from Ghana.

Fantastic on its own or mixed

Love the slight heat of this roast. I sometimes mix it into my Ghana Dark Roast.

    Maya Roast

Usually I enjoy the Maya Roast. This time, however, the grounds seemed wet when I opened the bag. Almost like they had already been used. I wonder if it was the hot, humid conditions perhaps?

Gave up coffee and exclusively drink the Mayan blend. Can’t get enough of it!
