Brews Like Coffee, Tastes Like Heaven

Honest Energy™

Brewed cacao contains theobromine, a naturally occurring stimulant found in cacao that can be more pleasant than caffeine. Unlike caffeine – which is harsh with a spike and following crash – theobromine works with your body, not against it, giving you a mild, long-lasting lift without making you feel nervous or jittery.

Superfood Packed with Nutrients

Enjoy the benefits of one of nature’s most amazing superfoods. Cacao is loaded with nutrients that can lower your acidity intake, boost your immune system, help you lose weight, and best of all help you feel great, increase focus, reduce stress, and sleep better.

100% Pure Ground Cacao

100% Pure Ground Cacao: Keto, Paleo, Non-GMO, Kosher, Sugar-free, Dairy-free, & Gluten-free.

Non-GMO and Certified Organic (Ecuador Light, Ecuador French, Pumpkin Spice, Peppermint, Maya)

Ghana Cacao Bean Origin

Volta River, Ghana.  Winding throughout the country, the Volta River gives shape to the lovely landscape of Ghana. The surrounding agricultural area is dotted with small, family-owned farms that produce the very best African cacao for Crio Bru. The dark, earthy-toned beans are carefully selected to enhance the full-bodied chocolate flavor, with hints of coconut and cinnamon.

Nicaragua Cacao Bean Origin

Managua, Nicaragua. For the past few years, we have been working with one of the leading cacao purveyors from Nicaragua. We are ecstatic to be able to bring you this new variety that showcases the exceptional quality they are able to provide.
There are many wonderful cacao varieties in Nicaragua for making chocolate but we have selected this particular one for its amazing flavor when brewed.

Well worth the splurge!

I bought the little starter bags because I was afraid I wouldn't like the taste. Wow, what a pleasant surprise! Will definitely be purchasing again!

Great Replacement for Coffee Lovers

Right now I am enjoying the Nicaraquan Medium Roast, but looking forward to trying the Ghanna French Roast. I have fybromyalgia so I have to be careful with caffeine; this gives me a boost without the jitters, which for me is even caused to decaf. French press is the best way to fix: I tried the manual pour over method first, and it was ok, but the paper filter does remove some of the flavor.

Now look up the health benefits of adding cacao nibs to your diet. Don't just through the used grounds away; eat them for more of the chocolate taste and health benefits.

Just Not Crazy About It

First of all, I need to tell you that there are four black coffee drinkers in this house, and no one was impressed. I don't know why, but I was expecting a richer taste. The Nicaragua had a horrible bitter aftertaste, the Ghana, although better, seemed weak. Adding cream and sweetener didn't help. I just felt like the taste was missing something.

Meh

Tasted like diluted chocolate. I used Crio Bru’s dark roast in a French press, following the instructions sent with Crio Bru and creamer and sweetener. Not what I was hoping. If you think you’re getting a mocha, think again. At these prices it’s probably cheaper just to make a real coffee with chocolate syrup .
